Privacy Policy — Roblox Friend Remove Tool

This Privacy Policy describes how the Roblox Friend Remove Tool Chrome extension ("the Extension") handles data. By installing the Extension you agree to this policy.

1. What data is collected

The Extension collects only the following anonymous, non-personal data:

• Anonymous install ID — a randomly generated UUID created locally on your device (crypto.randomUUID()). It is not linked to your Roblox account, browser identity, or any personal information.
• Extension version — the version string of the installed extension (e.g. 1.3.0).
• Date of last ping — the UTC calendar date (e.g. 2025-05-23) of the most recent daily activity ping, stored locally to avoid sending duplicate requests.

No Roblox username, user ID, friend list, .ROBLOSECURITY token, or any other account-related data is ever collected or transmitted.

2. Why it is collected

The anonymous install ID, version, and date are sent once per day to the developer's server solely to count the number of active installs. This helps the developer understand whether the Extension is still in use so that it can be maintained and updated.

3. Analytics opt-out (Roblox cookie)

The Extension reads a single Roblox first-party cookie (RBXcb) on roblox.com to check whether you have opted out of analytics through Roblox's own consent mechanism. If the GoogleAnalytics flag in that cookie is set to false, all pings described in Section 2 are suppressed. The Extension never writes, modifies, or deletes any cookie, and never reads cookies from any domain other than roblox.com.

4. Data storage

The anonymous install ID and last ping date are stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. They are never shared with third parties and never used to identify or track individual users.

5. Data sharing

The Extension does not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties. The anonymous daily ping is sent exclusively to the developer's own server (hosted on Cloudflare Workers) and is used only for aggregate install counting.

6. Data retention

Anonymous ping data is retained in aggregate form only (total daily counts). No individual records are stored on the server beyond what is needed to produce the aggregate count.

7. Children's privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected at all, there is no special handling required.

8. Changes to this policy

Any material changes to this policy will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
